Vanessa Perroncel Affair: “By The End Of This Week Everybody Will Know The Truth”

John Terry must be a very worried man. His affair with Vanessa Perroncel has been headline news almost daily, but so far Vanessa Perroncel had not spoken out about it. With the appointment of Max Clifford as her publicist, things are getting really hot for John Terry. There are signs that she may well be ready to tell all. Max Clifford said: “She just wants this all to be over. By the end of this week everybody will know the truth.”

Max Clifford added: “She is going to decide what is in her interests. She is aware of the alternatives. It’s a story that everyone’s talking about and it’s a story that, obviously, all the papers and the television networks are very, very keen to get to the bottom of and find out what the truth is.”

And according to Max Clifford, the bidding war for her exclusive story has now exceeded £250,000. Exactly how much higher than £250,000 has been offerred to buy Vanessa Perroncel’s own story has not been disclosed, but expect it to go higher quickly.

John Terry, it seems, is also in the bidding war, but with a different purpose. He wants to buy Vanessa Perroncel’s silence. In a sign of desperation, John Terry reportedly offered £500,000 and is said to be “begging” Vanessa Perroncel not to speak out about their affair.

This is a far cry from the £1 consideration to keep quiet in the confidentiality agreement that High Court Judge Justice Tugendhat questioned. Justice Tugendhat thinks that Vanessa Perroncel had been paid much more than this nominal sum.

But why is John Terry so desperate to buy Vanessa Perroncel’s silence? Afterall, details of the whole alleged affair has been on nationwide (correction, worldwide) news media.

The reason could be that he is trying to save his marriage. Wife Toni Poole has packed up and left for Dubai with twin children in tow. Someone said: “He has so much to lose – a divorce and all the lost sponsorship deals would cost him millions.”

Toni Poole reportedly asked for a divorce, but some reports say she may not do so for the children’s sake. If Toni Poole did divorce her husband, she could expect a substantial settlement plus a hefty slice of John Terry’s future earnings. Chelsea pays Terry £170,000 a week and he is believed to be worth about £20 million.

A friend of John Terry said: “There are a lot of untrue things being written about their supposed relationship.” And John Terry’s publicist, Phil Hall added: : “John is making no comment about the reports in the media. His focus is on working through all this with his wife and children.” And to that end, John Terry is planning to go to Dubai for the Valentine holiday, hoping to work things out with Toni Poole.

Meanwhile, John Terry may have to increase the amount to buy Vanessa Perroncel’s silence. Max Clifford said Vanessa Perroncel has not yet decided whether to talk to the media and was upset by some of the “untrue things” said about her in recent days.

When will she decide? How will she decide? Is money going to be the deciding factor? The bidding war has just begun.
