UK – Baroness Warsi Pelted For Not Being A Proper Muslim

There used to be a time long ago when men don’t attack girls.  But in this upside down world, that no longer holds.  Recently Britain’s best known Muslim woman, Baroness Warsi, the Shadow Minister for Community Cohesion and Social Action was out campaigning at Luton when her skills in community cohesion and social action were put to an unexpected test.  Baroness Warsi was pelted with eggs.  And the reason for the attack?  She was judged not be be a proper Muslim.

Baroness Warsi was out campaigning when she met a crowd of hostile protestors. One of the protestors said that he was against everything Baroness Warsi stood for. And then he added: “She is not a practising Muslim. Clearly by looking at her, she does not represent Muslims.”

Baroness Warsi stood her ground.  Instead of running away, she invited the protestors to a debate. Baroness Warsi told them: “Lets have a proper debate, lets have an argument.”

According to Baroness Warsi, the protestors did not take up her offer of dialogue. She said: ”They just carried on screaming and shouting.” Later, in an interview with BBC, Baroness Warsi described the demonstrators as “idiots”.  Baroness Warsi said:  ”These men are a bunch of idiots who do not represent the wider Muslim community. I stood up to them and challenged them to a proper debate, but they werent prepared to listen.”

But the protestors disputed this.  Protester Sayful Islam said: “We tried to engage her in a conversation, but she did not have the answers. We wanted to know why, as a Muslim, she supported soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq. Her views are an affront to Islam.”

It looks like the protestors were bad at aiming.  Only one egg hit her and soiled her jacket. She was taken to a nearby shop and the visit continued with police protection.

So who were the egg throwers?  And who threw the egg that hit its target?  The protestors are not saying.  Sayful Islam said: “We don’t know who threw the eggs.”

Think about it.  Why did the protestors behave in this manner?  Did they really attempt to have a dialogue with Baroness Warsi?  Was Baroness Warsi right in saying these protestors were “idiots who do not represent the wider Muslim community”.  Or were the protestors right in saying that Baroness Warsi “is not a practising Muslim… she does not represent Muslims”?
