Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Caught Napping Again

Remember the movie Rintihan Kuntilanak Perawan (The Moans Of A Virgin Ghost), starring American porn actress Tera Patrick?  That movie was shot in Indonesia without the Islamic Defenders Front knowing that Tera Patrick was in the country to do the movie shoot.  A frustrated Habib Salim Alatas, head of the Islamic Defenders Front in Jakarta said then: “Nobody told us that the actress had already come and shot the movie in Indonesia.  We will not stand still.  The next time a porn film star lands at Soekarno Hatta airport, we will block them.”  But it seems that the Islamic Defenders Front was again caught napping, this time by popular Japanese porn actress Maria Ozawa aka Miyabi.  Like Tera Patrick, nobody informed the Islamic Defenders Front that Miyabi had landed in Jakarta and shot the movie.

About Miyabi

24-year old Miyabi was born Maria Ozawa in January 1986.  Her mother is Japanese, but her father is French-Canadian.  Maria Ozawa chose the name Miyabi when she started her career as a pornographic model and actress. Today she has become the most popular porn actress in Indonesia.

Last year, the Islamic Defenders Front succeeded in preventing Miyabi from visiting Indonesia to film the movie called Menculik Miyabi (Kidnapping Miyabi).  As a result, the Jakarta-based producer Maxima Pictures was forced to make changes to the script to allow for all scenes involving Miyabi to be shot in Japan instead.  The final product is thus 70% shot on location in Indonesia and 30% in Japan.  The movie was screened in Indonesia in May this year.

Commenting on the decision by Maxima Pictures to bring in Miyabi as the lead actress in the earlier comedy film called Menculik Miyabi (Kidnapping Miyabi), Ma’ruf Amin, chairman of the Cleric’s Council, Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) said: “Don’t employ a porn star, even if the film is not pornographic, unless she has already stopped acting in porno films.”

About Hantu Tanah Kusir (Tanah Kusir Ghost)

Miyabi has been chosen as lead actress in this horror movie called Hantu Tanah Kusir, which means the Tanah Kusir Ghost.  As its name implies, this movie is about a resident ghost in a public cemetry in Jakarta. This movie, produced by Maxima Pictures last October, will be released for public screening next week.  It features local actors Zaky Jimah and Benu Buloe as well.

Miyabi’s attire in this movie ranges from the traditional Indonesia kebaya to tight shorts and white tank tops to topless (back view).

How the Islamic Defenders Front failed to know of Miyabi’s presence in Jakarta is a mystery.  Actually the presence of Miyabi in Jakarta was not the best kept secret.  Ody Mulya Hidayat from Maxima Pictures said: “Every night there was always somebody knocking on her door, asking for a photo opportunity.”  So if these fans knew of her presence, how come the Islamic Defenders Front was ignorant of this? This is all the more so considering the fact that Maxima Pictures went to the extent of changing hotels frequently, and yet Miyabi’s fans could locate her.  Ody Mulya Hidayat said: “We tried to keep our heads down and avoid controversy so we had to change hotels frequently.”

Think About It

Why didn’t someone inform the Islamic Defenders Front that Miyabi was in Indonesia shooting a movie?  Why do producers insist on bringing porn actresses into non-pornographic movies?  And what is it in her that makes Miyabi the most popular porn actress in Indonesia?
