This story is not new, but since I am on a series about teenage Indonesian model Manohara Odelia Pinot who ran away from her Kelantan prince husband, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Sultan Ismail Petra, I might as well blog on it. It seems that Daisy Fajarina, the mother of Manohara Odelia Pinot, had a brush with the law in France, was convicted in absentia, and is now a fugitive on the run, living in Indonesia which has no extradiction treaty with France.
In 1998, Daisy Fajarina brought a 15-year old girl from Southern Sulawesi, Indonesia, to stay with her and husband Juergen Reiner Pinot Noack in France. Known as Shaliha, she was described as the Indonesian stepdaughter of Daisy Fajarina and her husband.
In February 2007, Daisy Fajarina was found guilty in France for “submitting a vulnerable and dependent person to undignified working conditions and assault since 1998”. On June 26, 2007 Daisy Fajarina bolted when a warrant of arrest was issued by the Magistrate Court in Grasse, France. She was sentenced in absentia to 18-month jail term for abusing and subjecting her stepdaughter to slave-like conditions.
In court, husband Juergen Reiner Pinot Noack admitted that wife Daisy Fajarina undressed Shaliha and forced him to caress Shaliha’s body in her presence. This allegedly started in February 2007 when Shaliha was about 24 years of age. Juergen Reiner Pinot Noack admitted to caressing Shaliha, kissing her, and touching her breasts “everyday a little bit more”.
Shaliha, who was a virgin then, avoided Juergen Reiner Pinot Noack several times. However, she finally gave in and had sex with Pinot. Juergen Reiner Pinot Noack testified in court that he was too scared of his wife Daisy Fajarina to stop her acts of violence against Shaliha.
Juergen Reiner Pinot Noack was sentenced by the Magistrate Court to 4 months’ jail for his sexual misdeeds. But wife Daisy Fajarina ran to Indonesia for safety. And Shaliha, it seems, simply vanished.
Fast forward to 2009. After a 10-year absence, Shaliha made a sudden return to Indonesia. There she made several police reports in Jakarta, alleging mistreatment and other wrongdoings by Daisy Fajarina, including identity forgery.
Now the Ratna Sarumpaet Crisis Centre in Jakarta has taken a deep interest in the case on behalf of 25 year old Shaliha. And so has the Indonesian government. In the past, several requests from France for the extradiction of Daisy Fajarina has been rejected by Indonesia. But recently, in a sign that things may change, Indonesia Interpol requested that the extradiction been carried out through diplomatic channel.
So what is Daisy Fajarina planning to do now? Well, she now says she is ready to return to France to clear her name. Daisy Fajarina said that charges against her were trumped up by Shaliha so she wants to return to France to challenge the verdict against her.
But why would Shaliha do that? According to Daisy Fajarina, this is because she caught Shaliha and Juergen Reiner Pinot Noack having sex when she returned home unexpectedly one day to collect her handphone that was left behind.
Daisy Fajarina claims that after being caught in the act of illicit “consensual” sexual intercourse with Juergen Reiner Pinot Noack, Shaliha left her house. Daisy Fajarina said: “She did not even leave a letter to apologise, but had asked that the matter not be reported to the French police.” Then Daisy Fajarina added: “”I was extremely hurt. I had treated her like my own daughter since she was 15, and I was so in love with my husband.”
According to Daisy Fajarina, when Shaliha left her compound, she started making those allegations. Daisy Fajarina said: “Once she left, she claimed to have been abused, forced to work for long hours and never ever saw the sun.” Such allegations, insisted Fajarina, are “lies, all lies”.
But if she were really innocent, why then did Daisy Fajarina run away from France to the safety of Indonesia? Why be a fujitive? Daisy Fajarina, the mother of Manohara Odelia Pinot was found guilty in France of “submitting a vulnerable and dependent person to undignified working conditions and assault”. This would include mistreatment leading to physical, mental and sexual assualts – the very things that Daisy Fajarina is now alleging her son-in-law is doing to her daughter, Manohara Odelia Pinot.

Dont understand how the prince and all others have been so easily deceived. Just “incroyable” must have political ramifications or interests as the truth is even stranger than fiction.Monohara has no education, didnt live in cannes except for a short while and didnt even study in nice a full year!
