Mahathir: 9/11 Was Staged With Controlled Demolition

So former Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has just seen the Hollywood blockbuster film called “Avatar”.   He must have been impressed with the latest technologies used to produce this sci-fi movie. After watching Avatar, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has changed his views on the 9/11 terrorist attack on the Word Trade Center (WTC) towers in 2001. He now thinks that 9/11 was staged and the WTC towers were destroyed with controlled demolition.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said: ‘I am not sure now that Muslim terrorists carried out these attacks. There is evidence that the attacks were staged. If they can make Avatar, they can make anything.”  

But if not Muslim terrorists, then who mounted the 9/11 attacks?  Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad thinks it is the United States Government.  He said killing innocent people to provide an excuse for war was not new to the US. He said: “Don’t forget they even told lies to go to war.”

But why would the United States Government stage the attacks, killing some 3,000 innocent people?  Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said it was simply an excuse to mount attacks on the Muslim world. He said: ”The 9/11 attacks have served the United States and Western countries well. They have an excuse to mount attacks on the Muslim world.”

So how was the destruction of the WTC towers done?  Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has a ready answer.  He said: “It is of course a fact that the two towers were destroyed after two aircraft crashed into them.” Then he added: “A lot of people in America questioned whether the towers collapsed because the planes crashed into them or that something else caused them to come down.”

So if the planes did not cause the WTC towers to come crashing down to Ground Zero, then what did? Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad explained: “These people have reproduced videos taken by media people showing the attack and the collapse of the towers, pointing out certain peculiar features. I have seen the three-hour long video which is widely distributed.”

So what exactly is Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad saying? Simply this – the collapse of the WTC towers was the result of controlled demolitions such as are commonly done in he United States. Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad claimed to have met a janitor who worked in the WTC towers who alleged that there were explosions unrelated to the plane crash.

Apart from watching Avatar, where else did Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad get his theory of a conspiracy behind the destruction of the WTC towers from?  One clue is found in his blog, where Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad provided a link to to a video based on a book written by a conspiracy theorist who claimed that 9/11 was staged by the United States Government.

Is Tun Dr Mahthir Mohamad serious in his allegation of a conspiracy on 9/11? Or is this simply a cheap publicity stunt?  Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad replied: “What do I gain from a publicity stunt? I’m not going to run for Prime Minister again.”

So is Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad serious about the existence of a conspiracy? He said: “I am not so certain now that the Arab ‘terrorists’ hijacked four commercial aircrafts simultaneously and flew them into the twin towers, the Pentagon and somewhere unknown. Some people have condemned me for doubting that the attack was mounted by Arab Muslim terrorists.”

Then in a parting challenge, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said: “Perhaps one of the television stations would care to air the videos mentioned without censorship.”

Think about it.  Why is Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad giving his support to the conspiracy theorists at this time?  How would this support impact on the Malaysian Government’s efforts to improve relations with the United States? What message is Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad trying to say to his Muslims followers?
