There are five ‘big questions’ people always ask and by giving people logical answers to their honest questions you maybe rolling away the stone so they can come out of their tomb of unbelief? Or your answer to their questions may be that ray of light pointing them to the gospel.
On a certain ocean liner, a passenger was lying in his cabin seriously ill. One dark night he heard a cry, “Man overboard,” and while sensitive to all the excitement and hurry, he was too sick to give any help. One of the difficulties was that they could not see the man. Suddenly, however, a light shone out through the glass of a porthole. It happened to shine on the struggling man in the water, so they were able to see him, throw him a lifebelt and then race to his rescue. Where did the light come from? From the sick man, who, feeling so distressed at his incapacity to help, managed to crawl out of his bunk, take the lantern down from the wall and place it where it could shine forth.
In the same way when you are prepared to answer the questions people have about God, you are delivering them from their darkness. It is for that reason I want you to see logical answers to the ‘five big’ questions unbelievers ask. The first big question people ask is this;
How Do You Know The Bible Is The Word Of God?
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written. It is literally God’s message to you. Technically speaking, it is not one book, but sixty-six, written over a 1,500 year span. Its words were written by more than forty authors from various backgrounds, including farmers, fisherman, shepherds, servant, teachers and tax collectors. It was written in different places from the prisons of Rome to the palaces of Zion. Yet all the authors of the Bible wrote on one theme: ‘God’s redemption of mankind.’ And each of these men was inspired by God to write these words. The scripture reminds us, “knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit” (II Peter 1:20-21). So how can we know the Bible is true?

It is the most amazing book I ever read. You can read one novel, a management book or a text book from cover to cover and you should have covered and learnt everything within a matter of months.
But for the bible it is very different. Everytime I read it, I seem to find something new that I never knew before. Every verse and every chapter is filled with life enriching lessons.
