Father’s day message

The father slumber is a serious message for the father

I read about this sad story.  It’s about a father who took his little child out into the field on Sunday and, it being a hot day, he laid down under a beautiful shady tree to relax. The little child ran about gathering wild flowers and little blades of grass, and coming to his father and saying, “Pretty, pretty!”

In time, under the hot blazing sun, the father fell alsleep. While he was sleeping the unattended little child wandered away. When the father awoke, he found his child missing.  His first thought was, “Where is my child?” He looked all around, but he could not see him.  The panic-strickened father shouted at the top of his voice, calling out his child’s name. But sadly, all he heard was the echo of his own voice.

Running to the top of a little hill the father looked around and shouted again. There was still no response! Then going to the edge of a clift, the father looked down, and there, upon the rocks and briars, he saw the mangled form of his loved child. While he was sleeping his child had wandered over the precipice.

Fathers, your children need you.  You have the duty and responsibility to provide them with care and protection. How many fathers are sleeping now while their children wander over the terrrible clift right into the pit.

Father, where is your boy now?
