How did Father’s Day come about? I always suspect that Father’s Day, like many of the other holidays, is the invention of the giant shopping mall operators. You only have to look at the press and TV advertisements to see that there are Sales! Sales! Sales! signs all year round. There are Christmas Sales, New Year Sales, [...] British Airways is now asking its staff to work for free! It is asking thousands of its staff workers to take up to a month of unpaid leave. Nothing unusual about this. But here is the twist. The airline says those who take unpaid leave can have the option to return to work, but without pay. In [...] Everybody who owns an iPhone, it seems, is trying to download the latest update software , the iPhone OS 3.0, to make his iPhone a better one. The latest update promises a slew of extra features. But the sheer volume of iPhone owners rushing to download the update has caused the iPhone activation server to be [...] I grew up on super hero comics. One in particular is most memorable.
